The National Mathematics Advisory Panel on March 13, 2008, announced its final report urging schools to focus their attention on improving students' abilities for "quick and effortless" applications of arithmetic and algebra. The panel worries that absent such a focus, USA students will continue to be outperformed by those in other countries.  This recommendation precisely describes the methodology of the Kumon method.
